Zoo Day

As our class ran through the door, this beautiful peacock came running wonderously towards us.
Our  class were at Hamilton Zoo because we'd filled up our marble jar and now we had to investigate if a zoo is a good place for animals.

We stood still, admiring its beautiful colours then we carefully crept towards it. I felt scared because it might have bitten me. When I got close enough to stroke it, its feathers felt lushishly smooth. A lady told us that the peacock's enclosure was the whole entire zoo, except for the other animals' enclosures. The peacock showed us lots of wonderful colours - blue, green, yellow, pink and purple. It was amazing. When it spread its tail, it looked like there were lots of eyes glaring at me. I loved it because, when its tail opened, I felt a wind, and the colours on its tail showed gold, blue, green and black. As it opened slowly, it was gorgeous. Its tail covered its neck which looked about one metre tall, then it walked a little closer. I walked slowly and quietly. It loved being stroked.
I enjoyed going to the zoo and I would go again because it was so enjoyable.
