Red Riding Hood

We have been learning to use present participles in our writing.
Skipping down the old dusty path, Red Riding Hood slipped and bruised her knee. She dropped all her little cupcakes for her gran, but she left without the cupcakes because she could make another batch at her gran's.
Lurking in the forest, Little Red Riding Hood found a big bad wolf snarling, “What’s in your brown basket little girl?”
“Cupcakes for my sick grandma. Chocolate and strawberry flavour. What’s your name?”
“My name is Mr Wolf.”
“Well, Mr Wolf, I’m going to my gran's house. Bye bye.”
Knocking on the door, it opened. Not gran, but the wolf was home. He licked his lips, “Mmmmm!” He gulped her in one second.

Touch Down

We are learning to use a present participle in our writing.
“Okay! Who ever wins Paper, Scissors, Rock, gets the ball.”
We won. Logan started the game. After Logan got touched, he put the ball on the ground and rolled it behind him. Mia was the dummy half. She got it, then passed it to Mark. He ran as fast as lightning but, on the other team, Bernard Ferguson, there was a faster boy who touched Mark. Scooping up the ball, Mia tossed to Jaquade. He dropped it. It was hand over.
The girl in Bernard Ferguson got it when the referee blew the whistle. She ran. I ran faster than her so I touched her then she rolled it underneath her legs.

A Cold Frozen Morning

When I was going to school in the morning, it was really cold. I was wearing all my warm clothes and, when I got out of the car, I wasn’t wearing any gloves so I got frostbite on my fingers. I wanted a hot water bottle as well as milo.

When I got to the playground, it was freezing. Everything was in ice, shimmering like stars. Inside the tube was ice. Each time I stepped on the tubes, I heard a crack!! It hurt my ears. I was freezing like it was the North Pole. Once I got up the ladder, I was on the wood. It was very slippery. I fell on my back. It felt like I broke something. It was even harder then getting up. I almost slipped.

When I went into the classroom, it was nice and warm. It almost melted my fingers. I was so glad that the class was nice and warm. I stood in front of the heater until my fingers were all melted. I was really glad the heater was on.

A Cold Winter Morning

It was a frosty morning. I saw Jack Frost put a layer of snow, heavily dusting the field. The snow was shimmering like stars in the sky. I was going to school in the car.
